The Veil Weapons: Types & Tooltip Abilities

Open your inventory to examine the tooltips on The Veil weapons. Each weapon features a different setup: some offer innate passives, others grant spell casts, and some provide active skills like Cobalt Barrage or rot effects. Inspect each tooltip directly rather than assuming every weapon has all three mechanics.

Gems and Enchantments for The Veil Weapons

To enhance The Veil weapons through Gem enchantments, your total cost depends on how you source your materials. Gems can be found from world trinket spawns and chests, or rolled at Starry for 500 Silver. Applying an enchantment to your gear is a separate service costing 100 Silver (officially adjusted from earlier costs in the September 6 update). Budget for the specific service you need before visiting the NPC.

  1. Acquire a Gem

Collect Gems from world trinkets and chests, or roll at Starry for 500 Silver.

  2. Choose your build focus

Decide which combat stat or damage profile you want to strengthen.

  3. Apply the enchantment

Pay the 100 Silver fee to bind the Gem's enchantment across your weapons.

Does an Enchantment Apply to Every Weapon?

Co-Owner flames._. confirmed that enchantments apply to all your weapons. Rather than being restricted to a single blade or staff, an active enchantment benefits your full arsenal of The Veil weapons.

Community notes also indicate that enchantments stay active on newly acquired weapons until you replace or remove them. Choose an enchantment that complements your entire weapon setup.

The Veil Weapons: Why Legendary Weapons Require Mastery

Picking up a Legendary item among The Veil weapons does not mean you can swing or cast with it immediately. High-tier gear requires completing the matching Weapon Mastery in Melee, Casting, or Summoning. For instance, Melee and Casting trainers become accessible once you advance past the Disease Era into The Pale.

If a weapon is locked, check its category and visit the corresponding Mastery trainer rather than assuming your character is bugged.

Supporting Weapon Loadouts: Summons, Luck & Utility Items

When selecting summoning gear among The Veil weapons, take balance adjustments into account. In the September 6 balance patch, the Imp Staff maximum summons were lowered from 3 to 2, and explosion damage was reduced from 20 to 15. The exact interaction between the Imp Staff cap and additional summon accessories is unconfirmed, so avoid buying extra summon gear expecting guaranteed extra Imps.

Do not treat Luck stats—such as the Goblin racial bonus—as a known drop rate or stacking formula when planning your loadout. Exact loot algorithms are unverified, so make decisions on your weapons and supporting gear based on clear combat stats rather than relying on Luck.

The combat effectiveness of Star Fire on boss encounters is currently unclear. Always bring a dependable backup weapon so you have a proven attack option ready.
