The Veil Weapon Mastery: How to Unlock & Equip Legendary Weapons

If your Legendary weapon is not working and sits locked in your bag, check its weapon category. Unlocking The Veil weapon mastery for Melee, Casting, or Summoning is required before any Legendary weapon can be equipped. Leveling basic classes or raising stats will not unlock them.

Unlocking The Veil weapon mastery is completely separate from your character class. For example, playing Sky Sentinel gives minion skills, but equipping a Legendary summoning weapon still requires Summoning Mastery. To accept the trial from a trainer, you must carry a Legendary weapon of that matching category in your inventory.

Pick The Veil weapon mastery track that fits the Legendary weapon you want to run. Summoning Mastery can be reached early by traveling from Shimmering Sanctum to Sky Island, while Melee and Casting Mastery require clearing the Disease Era to enter The Pale.

1. Melee: Coliseum in The Pale

   Clear the Disease Era into The Pale and enter the Coliseum. Talk to the Melee trainer while carrying a Legendary melee weapon in your inventory to begin the Melee Mastery trial.

2. Casting: Aether Globe in The Pale

   Head into The Pale and look for the Aether Globe landmark. Speak with the nearby Casting trainer while carrying a Legendary casting weapon in your inventory to begin the Casting Mastery trial.

3. Summoning: Sky Island

   Travel to Shimmering Sanctum, turn in a Gem to launch up to Sky Island, and register the waypoint. Talk to the Summoning trainer while carrying a Legendary summoning weapon in your inventory to start the Summoning Mastery trial.

After accepting a trial, follow the objective on your HUD tracker to complete the requirements for The Veil weapon mastery. For Melee Mastery, creator tutorials cite 25,000 melee damage to finish the trial. Always check your own active quest tracker to follow ongoing damage numbers.

For Casting and Summoning, read the exact trial objective shown in the trainer's dialogue. Conditions differ between trainers, so follow your in-game quest text rather than assuming every mastery shares the same damage target.

If a trainer does not offer a quest prompt for The Veil weapon mastery, verify that you have a Legendary weapon of that matching category in your inventory. If you already accepted the trial, check your active quest panel to see if progress is already counting.

If you cannot interact with the Cell of Life (COL) spawner crystal after resetting mastery, Co-Owner flames._. suggested walking around the base of the crystal until the interact prompt appears.
